About David Gray
Gray trained as a journalist in his native Scotland, and has gone on to work in Europe, Asia and North America. His photojournalism projects appear in various editorial outlets including Monocle, Grand Journal, The Sun magazine, Entitled1, Volksrant magazine, W42st, and for the past three years he has shot for Driver's Journal, a 200pp large format art book celebrating America's love of automotive culture. That last has seen him document the sun-baked chaos of The 12 Hours of Sebring, travel 15,000 up a mountain in Colorado for Pikes Peak Hill Climb, and visit the snowy forests of Aspen to record a once-in-a-lifetime supercar race on ice. A monograph of Gray's NYC images was published in late 2024, and sold out. He was interviewed for Document Journal, was featured in The Pictorial List, and is currently in discussions about a bi-annual print magazine of his NYC images.
